Trondheim, once called Nidaros, was the capital of Norway until 1217. Today it is a university town, characterised by a dynamic and thriving cultural scene. The port of Trondheim will enable you to discover the gastronomic aspect of the city with its bars, cafés, restaurants and food and beer festivals. During your stay, take time to stroll through the city, cross the bridge of the old town and visit the royal residence (Stiftsgården). Don’t miss historical sites such as the cathedral of Nidaros, which was built around the tomb of King Olav Haraldsson.
